Max Pellicano King of Elvis concert dates

Elvis to the Max kicked off his, “The King in Concert” landmark event at Her Majesty Theatre in Melbourne to an almost packed house. Direct from the USA, Max Pellicano has been emulating the legendary superstar for over two decades.
Appearing on stage in a white jumpsuit, Pellicano’s tribute to Elvis is uncanny. The lively show portrayed Elvis in his heyday opening with “Blue Suede Shoes”, and continued with a non-stop array of hits including “Love Me Tender”, “Suspicious Minds,” “Hound Dog,” “In the Ghetto,” “Teddy Bear” and my all-time favorite hit, “Can’t Help Falling in Love”.

Just like Elvis, Pellicano captivated the audience with his gyrating moves and hilarious antics. Throughout the show, a string of women approached the stage waiting patiently in the hopes that Pellicano would notice them. Obligingly, he sashayed over taking hold of their hands as he sung to them.
Adding to the entertainment, Pellicano changed up the lyrics at times, adding to the humour. Pellicano’s ability to imitate the iconic figure is astounding and has been described as “Elvis resurrected” by critics. Once Elvis had left the building (stage), he returned briefly for an encore performance of “Viva Las Vegas”.

Special mention goes out to the exceptionally talented band and back-up singer Doug Williams who serenaded the audience with “Walking in Memphis,” at the beginning of the second act. Williams’ performance was smooth and silky and garnered a thunderous applause.
Overall, a sensational show that will transport you back in time. A must-see for Elvis fans.
